Am I crazy to pick an all green Hosta for my "Plant of the Week"?

A resounding NO!

As a personal gift to me,  from the Hosta Guru and the man who actually "Wrote The Book"  on Hosta,  George Schmid,  this particular clone of this recently discovered species has performed magnificently in the garden.

Hosta laevigata has long (18"- 24"),  strapping leaves that arch gracefully to the ground.

But the real kicker,  or I should say kickers,  are the undulation on the leaf margins and the copious amounts of deep violet,  starry flowers produced on a plant that makes a 12" -18" clump in just a year or two.

An all green Hosta,  YES,  But....with other wonderful attributes that make it a very desirable plant that is a welcome addition to ANY shade garden.
