Dear Fellow Cut Flower Grower, we all know how popular Alstroemeria is as a cut flower with its unusual markings, vivid colors, long stems and very, very long vase life.

But... unless you're in zone 7 or warmer, you're relegated to growing them under glass.

AKA the "Peruvian Lily," and native to Brazil and Peru, there isn't a restaurant that I've been to in the past few years that didn't have Alstroemeria on the table. And, why not??? These colorful, unique flowers have one of the longest vase lives of almost anything I've grown in my 47 year long horticultural career.

This particular species is no exception and has an additional attribute going for it. For over thirty years, Alstroemeria psittacina has been hardy for me in zone 5 in the ground! Look at the images below and you'll see the brilliant markings and unusual shape at the top of their firm and supple 18" - 24" stems.

It's also a No Brainer to grow from the prolific tubers that it produces.

When we finish taking our cuts, in the next week or two, I'll be able to part with a few thousand of my 2" pots. These open bottom, heavy duty, reusable 2" pots are Anderson Brand ™ Bandpots and come 50 to a 10" X 20" lattice flat.

To make sure that they're spread around the industry fairly, I must limit you to one flat only, but that's all you'll ever need  because as I said above, they're very quick to form new tubers.

So don't let all that money trickle out to Columbia, Israel, Peru and Brazil. MAFA (Make America Floriferous Again) and grow yer own.

Pricing is extremely affordable at $2.45 each plus $18.00 for Insured UPS delivery. I can also ship bareroot to California, Washington and Oregon.

Reply to this email if you'd like to reserve a flat or chat about this plant or any other of the many plants that we grow.
